Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (US)

Der Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (BQE) in New York City mit seiner dreifach gekrümmten Konstruktion steht aufgrund überladener Fahrzeuge vor enormen Herausforderungen. Die Weigh-In-Motion-Systeme von Kistler wurden eingesetzt, um überladene Fahrzeuge automatisch zu erkennen. Kürzlich wurden die WIM-Systeme von Kistler als erstes automatisches Anzeigesystem des Landes zertifiziert und in Betrieb genommen, wodurch die Überladung abnimmt. Die gesammelten Daten werden auch zur Berechnung der Lebensdauer der Brücke und für eine genaue Analyse der Verkehrsbelastung verwendet. "Die Zusammenarbeit mit Kistler und C2SMART war der Schlüssel, um dieses landesweit erste automatische System zur direkten Durchsetzung von Vorschriften zum Leben zu erwecken", sagte Tanvi Pandya, P.E. Erftstadt, A1 Highway (Germany)

The Institute of Highway Engineering at Germany’s RWTH Aachen University chose Kistler’s KiTraffic Digital for their pioneering ‘Digital Twin Road’ research project.

In 2023, ten Lineas Digital sensors were integrated seamlessly into Germany’s busy A1 highway – with no need for special road preparation or repaving.

A special sensor layout was designed exclusively for this project – highlighting Kistler’s commitment to offering flexible layout options and meeting customers’ needs.

Weigh In Motion für Brücken: El Carrizo in Mexiko mit WIM von Kistler ist mit 227 m die zweithöchste Brücke Nordamerikas.
El Carrizo-Brücke (Mexiko)

Auf der El Carrizo Highway Bridge in Mexiko, der zweithöchsten Brücke Nordamerikas, ereignete sich 2018 ein schwerer Verkehrsunfall, der zur Sperrung der Brücke führte.
