Stud converter for accelerometers / 8420

Stud mounting is the preferred mounting of an accelerometer to test a structure. With properly prepared mounting surfaces and mounting torque correctly observed, it yields the broadest usable frequency range.

Main features / advantages
  • 5 - 40 to 0.062 Hex
  • Made of stainless steel
  • L = 6.3 mm (.25 in)
The Type 8420 mounting stud is used to form a rigid connection between the accelerometer and the test object and is machined from beryllium copper or stainless steel for high strength and high modulus of elasticity, coupled with high elastic limits. It is available in different thread sizes, with imperial and metric threads at opposite ends or as a thread converting insert.
