9845A

KiTraffic Digital is the world’s most advanced Weigh In Motion platform. It delivers a unique solution for direct weight and tire enforcement with unparalleled accuracy.
Main features / advantages
  • OIML R134 certified to accuracy class F5
  • Suitable for direct weight and tire enforcement
  • Automated tire screening including flat tire detection without needing tilted sensors
  • Highly accurate Weigh In Motion data in open road (inter-lane) traffic
  • Accuracy of ±2-5% gross vehicle weight (GVW)
  • Based on proven quartz sensor technology
  • Standard interfaces ensure easy integration into higher-level systems
The KiTraffic Digital system Type 9845A integrates Lineas Digital sensors Type 9181A, which are connected to industrial-grade electronics with Kistler Software. The system operates without the need for a Weigh In Motion controller or data logger. The Lineas Digital Weigh In Motion sensors generate digitized signals from quartz elements, capturing wheel, axle and gross weight, along with vehicle speed and classification. These signals also provide position information, enabling the determination of tire type (single or dual), tire dimensions, and lateral driving position. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch powers all sensors embedded in the roadway and transmits sensor data to a local PC. Access to the Weigh In Motion system is facilitated through a router. All relevant Weigh In Motion data is available through a graphical User Interface (GUI), a machine-readable REST API (pull communication), or as a data stream via webhooks (push communication). The intuitive, web-based GUI allows for system configuration, calibration, and data visualization. For enforcement applications, the KiTraffic Digital system can be enhanced with vehicle identification technology (such as ANPR cameras) and other third-party solutions.
