Quality assurance test systems for industrial production: Kistler at Control 2023

Winterthur, March 2023 – From individual sensors to smart automatic testing systems: at this year's Control from May 9 to 12, Kistler will showcase test, measurement and inspection solutions for quality assurance throughout the entire industrial production process at booth 7507 in hall 7.

New version of the KVC 821 automatic testing system

The latest version of this automatic testing system leverages cutting-edge optical measurement technology to collect data on dimensional stability as well as geometric attributes and surface characteristics of the units under test.

Thanks to artificial intelligence, the image processing software also detects the very smallest defects – even those that were previously unknown – and ensures that tested parts are separated.

The automatic testing system KVC 821 is ideal as a quality assurance solution in many diverse sectors.
Thanks to artificial intelligence and anomaly detection, the KVC 821 automatic optical testing system can identify the very smallest, previously unknown defects, making it suitable for use in quality assur-ance in a wide range of industries.

Quality assurance from assembly to production in fastening technology

For the fastening technology sector, Kistler is presenting two solutions to guarantee reliable assembly of bolted joints at Control:

  • cerTEST 3 test system: the new test system for torque tools is designed for fast mobile testing of rotating tools such as nutrunners, cordless screwdrivers and impulse drivers in the assembly line.
  • caliTEST Basic: this calibration device is the key to standard-compliant inspection of indicating and setting torque tools.

For both solutions, the latest version of the web-based CEUS 10 software guides users step-by-step through the measurements and assists with parameterizing the measurement tasks: it also stores the test records in a database and even handles issuance of certificates.

Process monitoring system ensures quality during production

Kistler is exhibiting a measuring chain comprising the maXYmos NC process monitoring system, force sensors and compensation elements. This clearly demonstrates how users can precisely test individual process steps while production is still in progress – and with the help of the data, they can identify and separate defective parts at the earliest possible stage of industrial production.

New handheld testing devices for straightforward function tests

Thanks to the mobile handheld testing devices in Kistler's 5811 family, plant operators no longer need to dismantle quality assurance sensors individually – instead, they can now test them directly in situ. The benefits: sensor data can be compared, examined and verified – and production parameters can be optimized.
