Strain gauge load cells of Type 4577A are designed as a flat, circular disc. The measuring element inside the body carries a strain gauge full bridge which outputs a voltage directly proportional to the measurement variable on the application of a force. The load application knob for receiving compression forces is an integral part of the sensor. The measurement force must be applied centrically and without any transverse vectors. Ensure that the force sensor Type 4577A is mounted on a smooth and even surface.
