Purpose of the position
Your typical day
We are looking for an experienced Agile Coach & Team Leader to drive Agile transformation, enhance team collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
This dual-role position combines strategic Agile coaching with hands-on leadership of a team of Scrum Masters and RTEs, ensuring the successful adoption of Agile methodologies while maximizing team performance and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Coach Responsibilities:
- Act as a bridge between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Guide teams in the proper application of SAFe, Agile Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Foster transparency by making progress, obstacles, and achievements visible to all stakeholders.
- Coach development teams in self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile best practices.
- Identify and eliminate impediments to Agile adoption and project progression.
- Mediate interpersonal conflicts and facilitate smooth collaboration within development teams.
- Support Product Owners with vision communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Champion Agile metrics and data-driven decision-making to measure and improve team performance.
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to Laders, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and team members.
- Support teams in the effective use of Agile tools like Jira and Confluence to optimize project tracking.
- Continuously assess Agile maturity levels and implement best practices to enhance team agility.
- Lead and facilitate SAFe events and Agile ceremonies or jump in as temporary RTE/SM when required.
- Team Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead and coach a team of up to 10 members (SM, RTE), fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure team productivity, motivation, and continuous professional growth.
- Communicate organizational vision, goals, and strategic decisions clearly to the team.
- Drive hiring initiatives, onboard new employees, and support their smooth integration into the team.
- Promote collaboration, accountability, and a results-driven approach to software development.
- Coordinate and oversee team activities to successfully drive projects to completion.
Your profile
- Proven experience as an Agile Coach, Release Train Engineer, Scrum Master, or similar role in Agile transformations.
- Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and hands-on experience coaching teams.
- Track record of implementing agile techniques in different work cultures and environments.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to navigate and resolve team conflicts while fostering a psychologically safe environment.
- Familiarity with Agile project management tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Passion for Agile principles and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
