This is the the Ex-ia version of the 518x differential charge amplifier family which features a very wide amplification range.

The Type 5183A differential charge amplifiers come with selectable sensitivity, which is set at the factory, and a low-pass filter (time constant) in the input stage instead of a reset function. The internal compensation circuit eliminates amplifier drift and can compensate for low-frequency residual currents up to 5 nA. The power supply of 18 to 28 VDC is galvanically isolated and prevents interfering ground loops. These differential charge amplifiers are available in two housing variants, a die-cast aluminum case and a DIN rail housing.
