These press force load cells are based on the piezoelectric measuring principle. The force acting on the quartz element generates a proportional electric charge as sensor output, which is converted by the series-connected measuring amplifier into a process signal suitable for evaluation (typically 0 ... 10 V). These press force sensors are specially designed for use in handknee lever presses or pneumatically operated presses of different installation sizes. The focus of the development of these sensors was on achieving a low profile and easy, flexible integration into the press.
