9237B

These robust strain sensors are particularly suitable for measuring dynamic and quasistatic forces on stationary or moving machine parts (indirect, force-proportional strain measurement).
主な特長/メリット
  • Strain sensor with overload-proof design
  • High sensitivity allows accurate measurement of minute strains
  • Wide range for tension and compression forces
  • Robust industrial construction (IP67)
  • Easy mounting with just one screw
The strain in the basic structure is transfered on the sensor via the two contact surfaces resulting in a change in distance. The sensor housing serves as an elastic transmission element and converts the change in distance into a force. The piezoelectric elements subjected to this shear force produce a proportional electric charge Q (pC). The particular advantages compared with the familiar strain gauge technology are the high sensitivity, large overload protection and practically unlimited life time even under fluctuating loads. The measuring signal can be further processed as a relative value. For absolute value measurements (e.g. in N or kN), the strain sensor has to be calibrated using an appropriate reference. The sensor design allows the use in industrial environments. With its connected cable, the measuring chain satisfies the requirements of protective class IP65. The design of the sensor and its stainless steel housing allow the usage in industrial environments. The version of Type 9237B20 (e.g. with cable Type 1915A) provides an IP67 protection level for use in wet and dirty environments. The integrated KIAG 10-32 neg. connector accommodates a broad selection of connecting cables (see accessories).
